Birding Excursion to the Salton Sea

On Monday, January 8 you can take part in an event called “Winged Wonders of the Salton Sea with Kurt Lueschner”. Kurt is the Professor of Natural Resources at College of the Desert. This is an educational day ($25.00 including lunch) to learn about this nearby habitat and a great opportunity for some wonderful photography. Over 400 species of birds have been recorded at the Salton Sea. SIGN UP for the Salton Sea day now!

Speaking of photography, Sue Powell’s recent photo on #5 south on Toscana property is of the Black Swan and Richard Flask captured The Hooded Mergansers on 6 north pond. Getting involved with birding can create a meaningful pastime.
